David is making a great future David Musyimi Muneeni is 16, and one of ten students sponsored by AAF during 2003. He is now and has always been at no.1 position in class. A popular friendly boy, David has a great interest in every academic subject, his favourite being mathematics, and on the sporting side he enjoys football, volleyball and badminton. He wants to pursue a career in engineering, and with the support of his UK sponsors, we are confident he will do well. Denis Cannon visited him in school during July, and although naturally shy at first, he soon relaxed and engaged confidently in conversation in English, his third language. David comes from a very poor family, the third born of five siblings, his father died some years ago.

British Flight Ban
The British Airways ban on flights to Kenya during May and June resulted in our flight being cancelled and our trip being delayed for two months. Furthermore, BA’s decision caused great harm to the Kenya tourist industry. Kenya Airways however continued their normal schedule, and we were able to re-book our flights with them. The “Pride of Africa” treated us very well, and we are thankful that our trip was finally a great success.
